More Summer Fun

In an effort to catch up, here are some more random pictures of our summer.

Destin, Florida

It appears I haven't been very good about posting this summer!  We've had a great HOT summer.  In July, we went with Pete, Jess and Juliette to Destin, Florida.  Little E didn't love the beach, but she had a fantastic time hanging out with her buddy Jules.  And she took her first airplane ride!

 

Post-Pigtail Hair

Elizabeth wears pigtails to school every day now, but takes them out pretty soon after I pick her up.  Here's our post-pigtail hair.  A little bozo-the-clownish.

Children's Museum

On Saturday it was so hot we didn't know what to do! So we made an impromptu trip to the Dallas Children's Museum.  But first we pushed around our beverages at the house.  Elizabeth has taken to putting her sippy cups in the leg holes of her baby-doll stroller.  And she really likes to have two.  She'll push it all around the house. So usually a milk cup and a water cup.  I love how she just figured this game out by herself! Oh yeah. And she's letting me put pigtails in her hair!  Another giant thank you for daycare which got us here!

Memorial Day 2010

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend at the lake.  We swam with our cousins and ate Pa-paw's pancakes on the porch in our pajamas!

Backpacks and Purses

Now that Elizabeth is in the Toddler Room at her school she gets to carry a backpack and wear a uniform!  Well, they've been back-ordered on uniforms, so we haven't actually done that yet, but she takes her backpack to school!  Most days Daddy carries it, but one morning last week, Elizabeth decided she could carry it on her back.

And she LOVES purses.  I am making an effort not to encourage Elizabeth to look to the "girl" toys, but at least with purses she is all girl! Oh yeah, and grocery shopping - looks like she's fallen into that gender role as well. :o)
