Snow!

I just saw on the news that we set a record today for the most snowfall in one day in North Texas ever! 7.9 inches! And it's still snowing! E was acting sick this morning, so I stayed home in the morning and Eric came home at lunch so I could go to work. So we sort of all got a snow day!

Here's our house.

Little E didn't quite know what to make of the snow. She took a few steps (although wasn't interested enough to put her animal cracker - see right hand- down)...

But quickly retreated to the dry part of the deck.

And then went back inside. Maybe next time she'll stay out long enough to build a snow man!

The Rest of Our Weekend

After our exciting haircut, we went to visit Mamie and Poppa. At first, she stuck close to me.

But then Poppa showed her the rocking chair he had had as a little boy. It was the perfect size for E.

Then we went over to Mimi and Papaw's. Look at that cute haircut!

Mimi and Papaw were babysitting Alec and Isaac, so we got to play with them. Hi Isaac!
Hi Alec!

Lots of babies!

Mimi showed the babies the rocking chair at her house. Everyone loved it - they also loved Mimi. She had a lapful of toddlers!

Everyone trade places!

It was so fun to see our cousins!
Today we mostly stayed at home. Here are a few pictures of E playing.

Bracelets!
That's not a toy - that's a kitty!

Ooh...Daddy built a tower...
Elizabeth is helping...
Fall down!!!!

Elizabeth's First Hair Cut

On Saturday, we took Elizabeth for her first hair cut. She didn't love it but she didn't scream the whole time, so I think it was a success! Plus, after seeing the end result, it was quite clear to me that we needed one! First we went to breakfast at Mimi's Cafe - look at that hair!

Yep - it's everywhere!

Elizabeth and her Daddy argued over who should get the check.
On our way to the salon - happy girl!
Look Elizabeth - you get to sit in a yellow car! How cool!

And they have Baby Einstein - your favorite!
See, this is cool!
Not so sure....

What's that!

I don't like this!

Are we done yet?
Stand right here, Mama!

I'm ready to go home now!
Well, why didn't you think to give me my paci at the beginning of this whole ordeal!

What a pretty girl!

Bracelets

A few weeks ago, Elizabeth found some of the plastic links that she played with as a baby and we used to attach toys to her carseat and stroller. She decided they were bracelets! She's had a fun time wearing those and I mentioned it to one of my friends at work, Amanda. The next day, Amanda brought us actual bracelets! Elizabeth loves them! She puts them on and takes them off and throws them around the room. But it's so amazing to me that she knew exactly what to do with them without me showing her. Turns out my daughter likes jewelry!
