Well as it turns out there is less time to blog about the upcoming arrival of a new baby if you have a toddler at home. Turns out there is less time to do everything if you have a toddler at home! But that doesn't change the fact that our baby boy will be here a week from today! Because he is expected to be a BIG boy, he is due to arrive via c-section a few days early - next Tuesday, March 15. A week and a half ago we had a sonogram which estimated his weight AT THAT TIME at over 9 1/2 pounds. I have another one on Thursday and we fully expect him to be over 10 1/2 pounds. Plus he's super chubby! In fact, his belly is significantly bigger than his head which is the main reason my doctors are definetly set on a c-section even if he did show up early - we'd hate for his head to get through only for his cute chubby belly to get stuck!
E's excited about her baby brother, but I'm pretty sure she's expecting him to be kind of like another cat - something fun to play with when she wants to but easily ignorable if she's not interested - and certainly not anything that will take up Mommy and Daddy's time. Just the past week, I think she's realized all the baby stuff that has been put out isn't just fun for her, but is actually for something else (she got this when we had to tell her to get out of the bouncy seat she was almost breaking.)
My facebook buddies know I'm much better about updating the world via facebook than the blog, but I am going to try and get back to blogging. We'll see!
